Waylay allows a character to knock an eligible target unconscious with an attack from behind.
Requirements
- First Purchase: No prerequisite.
- Additional Purchases: One further purchase is allowed for every five character Levels, rounded down.
- Weapon: A NERO-safe, non-ranged, one-handed short weapon for which the character has the appropriate Weapon Skill.
- Position: Be behind the target and able to see its shoulder blades. Do not attack from the front or reach around the target.
- Uses: This is a limited-use, times-per-day Skill.
Effects
Call "Physical Waylay" when delivering the strike. The call remains the same when the weapon is silvered, magical, or affected by an elemental aura.
An affected target is unconscious for five minutes unless awakened by an Awaken spell or potion. Its current Body Points are retained while unconscious.
Waylay is spent on a single strike. It cannot be held active or switched to another target, and surprise is not required.
