Desecrate is a level 4 spell that protects its recipient from non-ranged attacks by living creatures.

- Level: 4.
- Duration: Indefinite.
Effects
Non-ranged attacks originating from living creatures do not affect the recipient. Ranged attacks, including spells, missile weapons, and gas globes, may still affect them.
The protection continues only while the recipient keeps their hands crossed on their chest and takes no Body damage. If there is doubt whether an attacker is living, the recipient takes the effect. They may not call a Hold or go out of game to determine the attacker's status.
Restrictions
The recipient may use no game abilities except touch-casting spells on themselves. Attempting to pick up an item immediately disrupts Desecrate.
